Serious Accident This Morning in Avenue, MD:
At Approximately 11:39 AM this morning, Fire/EMS/Police were dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Oakley Road in Avenue. Units arrived on the scene to find a single vehicle into a pole with a single patient trapped inside the vehicle. Fire Units had to extricate the patient from the vehicle. MSP HELO Trooper 7 responded and transported the patient to PG Shock Trauma. The Road was closed for several hours while an accident investigation began.
Strong Storms Roll Through Southern Maryland Monday:
RT Our report last night on the storm damage in Colton’s Point after thunderstorms rolled through the area. So far no information has been released by the National Weather Service but Fire Department Officials have released that a waterspout was seen in the area where damage was done to several residences on Point Breeze Road including to trees. We will bring an official report once it has been released.
So far the rest of today into the tonight looks to be good. No Rain or Thunderstorms. Temps tonight will be in the mid 60s.
On Wednesday, temperatures will rise into the mid 80s where we could see another strong to severe thunderstorms all the way into the evening.
Thursday will be basically the same thing with temperature in the mid 80s with strong to severe thunderstorms.
