A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect for all Southern Maryland Sunday. There are different times these advisories end though. The First Advisory is in effect for Calvert and St. Mary’s which is in effect from 8AM to 8PM Sunday. The 2nd Advisory is in effect for Charles, Prince George’s and Anne Arundel Counties which is in effect from 8AM Sunday until 7AM Monday. Up to 1 inch of snow is predicted with a tenth of an inch of ice and freezing rain which is predicted for Calvert and St. Mary’s Counties. 1 to 2 Inches of Snow and Sleet followed by Freezing Rain and Ice is predicted for Charles, Anne Arundel and Prince George’s Counties. For the Whole area by Mid Afternoon temps will be warm enough for all of the precipitation to change to all rain. The roadways will be very slick so please stay home if possible. Power outages are also possible due to the icing on trees and power lines.
